Despite England’s resurgence following a tactical substitution, Spain’s late push saw Oyarzabal score the decisive goal. The victory led to celebrations among the Spanish players and fans, while England received a message of support from King Charles III, praising their journey to the final and encouraging them to look ahead with pride..

England managed to equalize midway through the second half with a stunning left-footed strike from Cole Palmer, bringing the score level at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. However, Spain secured a late victory with just under five minutes remaining when Mikel Oyarzabal converted an immaculate pass from Marc Cucurella, capping off a successful tournament for La Roja.

This win marked Spain’s fourth Euro title, adding to their victories in 1964, 2008, and 2012. Meanwhile, England faced disappointment once again, echoing their penalty shootout defeat to Italy in Euro 2020.

The match started cautiously, reflecting the tension of a major final. Spain dominated possession but created few clear chances in the first half, while England’s Phil Foden had the best opportunity before halftime, only to be denied by Unai Simón. Spain suffered a setback with Rodri’s injury, but his replacement, Martín Zubimendi, contributed to the opening goal by Nico Williams
